As Liberty has grown in recent years, new communities have been popping up all over town! By creating a family-friendly area, all of these communities are perfect places to raise a family! One, in particular, that our team has had the honor to build in is Homestead. The land itself certainly has quite a story behind it. A common question when prospective homebuyers are looking to buy their dream home is the school district it feeds into! Yes, having all of the bells and whistles of a beautiful home is important, but it’s key to have it be in the right area to raise your family in! When it comes to the Liberty School District, you can rest easy! Here we have a school district that is continuously recognized for it’s academic excellence. In Liberty, you can have the peace of mind that your children will be taught by professional educators and given the skills to truly excel in life.
Although we’ve heard these positive reviews from past clients, it’s also important to see some numbers that back this up! As stated on the Liberty School District official website, “LPS was recognized as a high performing school district for all 12 years the State of Missouri presented the Distinction in Performance Award, making it one of only 6% of Missouri districts to be placed in this category.” Add in the fact that it features a 95.3% graduation rate and 78% of their graduates attending a 2-4 year college, and we would feel confident sending our own kids to this highly sought-after school district!

Buying a home is a big investment and certainly one that you don’t want to be responsible for creating a plethora of headaches. On one of our blog posts, we highlight various Do’s and Don’ts that go into building your house. Some of these may seem obvious, while others could pique your interest. Nonetheless, even if you choose to sign with another builder in the Northland, we want to ensure you’re fully prepared before signing any contracts! Here’s a few of our favorites to consider:
– Don’t forget to do your research: Choosing a quality builder can certainly alleviate most of the concerns you could have about building your home! Before signing up with anyone, make sure to do some research. Check out their social media presence. Take a look through their reviews on Google. In 2020, Google Reviews are often the first place most consumers look to, so it’s a great starting point. Ask the builder about their warranty policy. Ideally, no issues pop up, but if they do, you’ll want to make sure you’re covered.
– Do take your time looking through floor plans: Here at Hearthside Homes, we take pride in providing our clients with plenty of options when it comes to floor plans. After all, every homebuyer can have a slightly different vision for their dream home and having a floor plan to make this a reality is a plus! Take your time to carefully look through all of the options available to ensure it’s capable of meeting all of your needs!
– Don’t forget about all of the other expenses: While you may be pre-approved for a $450,000 home, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best financial decision. Before purchasing the home, consider all of the added expenses that will be involved. Closing costs, property taxes, HOA dues, and insurance are a few to remember!
– Do tour model homes: Seeing pictures and videos on-line is one thing, but seeing them in-person can make a HUGE difference! Before committing to any one builder, take the time to visit their model homes. While you certainly don’t have to do everything exactly like the model, it will give you a better idea of the builder’s style and craftsmanship!
