Barn Door

Barn doors are charming and add instant personality to a space. Many of our clients like utilizing a barn door to separate the bedroom from the bathroom. We often work with a Kansas City barn door manufacturer, Walston Barn Door.

Accent Wall

Accent walls are big these days. Add shiplap, paneling, or a fun pop of color to the master bedroom. This makes the room stand out and adds a little something extra!

High Ceilings

High ceilings instantly make a master suite feel more spacious! Not to mention, crown molding can add a classic and elegant feel to the ceiling. If you’re planning on building a home, definitely consider the ceilings in your master bedroom!

Light Fixtures

Don’t be afraid to add in some dramatic light fixtures! Fandeliers (fans with chandeliers) are pretty and practical. You should also consider natural lighting as well. It’s so important to have enough windows in the right places!

Statement Bathroom Tiles

When it comes to your master bathroom, choose flooring that will stand out! Tile comes in so many fun colors and patterns these days. Don’t be afraid to go with a bold pattern or a geometric shape such as a hexagon.

Splurge On The Shower

Make showering a luxurious experience! Add beautiful floor and wall tile. If you have room, definitely go for a bench and double shower heads!

Freestanding Bathtub

Freestanding bathtubs are becoming one of the most popular master bedroom trends! These tubs offer an elegant look and they are easy to clean since there are no jets.

Two Sinks

Two sinks in the master bathroom are often considered must-haves for most couples. Your master bathroom vanity should have plenty of storage space, and you’re not limited to cabinets below the countertops! Use the vertical space by adding cabinet space up to the ceiling!

Water Closet

Water closets, or toilet rooms, are nice to have for obvious reasons. Take it a step further by adding some cabinets for storing toilet paper, linens, and toiletries.

Functional Closet Storage

The best closets are spacious and have plenty of rods. If you want to go the extra mile, add some cabinets and a built-in mirror.

Feeling fancy? A closet with an island is a dream! You can add drawers to the island to store jewelry and other accessories. You can even use the top of the island to lay out your outfit for the day.

Invest In Furniture

If you’re buying new furniture, big and stylish headboards can make a master bedroom feel sleek and luxurious. You can even create a cozy seating area – perfect for cuddling up with a book! Nightstands with functional storage space are always a good idea. Add a rug and some decorative throw pillows and you’re all set!
