Tell Us Your Story
Carlos moved to the United States from Honduras when he was 17 years old. From the beginning, his goal was to provide for his family. As soon as he stepped foot on US soil, Carlos began working in the painting business. Ever since then, Carlos has worked diligently to excel in the industry.
The idea of owning his own company wasn’t very strong at the beginning due to a lack of investment and cash flow. Even with the difficulties Carlos stood up and faced the biggest challenge of his life while raising his kids. With the experience learned from other painters, he decided to put all the best qualities together and start his own business with his partner and wife Susana Santos in 2003.
Carlos Says: “Our mission statement has always been to provide excellent service to the best of our abilities.”
How Many People Are On Your Team?
Carlos Says: “We manage over 30 people and everyone is an important piece at the company. We try to have a flat company structure which gives the workers the power to basically work for themselves. So far it has been a win-win for the company and for the workers.”
What Sets You Apart From The Competition?
Carlos Says: “Customer service is what set’s us apart from other painting businesses. We believe that customer service should be the main focus of every company. We love the customers we get to meet and the people we work with in the industry.”
Walk Us Through A Day In Your Life
Like most jobs, every day is a little different at Santos Painting. That being said, there are a few routine tasks that most engaged business owners must give attention to.
Carlos Says: “Early mornings start with a lot of phone calls and messages. The people managing the company usually organize the crews, set up the strategies for the week, and check job sites. There are also driving routines and usually 2-3 days a week we try to stay in one specific job to make sure everything is running smoothly.”
Who Are Your Clients?
Carlos Says: “We work with all types of customers, including builders and residential clients. There is no job that’s too big or too small for us.”
Are You Looking To Take On More Work?

Carlos Says: “Fortunately we have been growing every year since the start of the company. With more work, we can bring more people to the industry and teach them our philosophy. More work will never be a bad thing for us. In the future, we are thinking about increasing our portfolio in the construction industry and adding concrete finishing to our services.”
Do You Offer A Warranty?
Warranties will vary depending on the scope of work. That being said, Santos Painting is committed to standing by their work! Warranties are only applicable to an actual fault in the final product, not wear and tear by the customer.
Carlos Says: “Warranties are offered to any customers depending on the service and price. Most commonly, we offer a one-year warranty. This includes a come-back visit if there is a problem with the painting jo.”

Carlos Says: “We are a local family business where nobody is left behind. We try to provide and give the best experience to the customers, employees, and whoever crosses our path. We believe in always treating people the way we would like to be treated.”
