What Is Your Mission Statement?
Mike Says: “Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape began in 2001. Our Mission Statement is to exceed our clients’ expectations by providing the best quality landscape and management services. We believe in attention to quality, attention to detail, creative design, and delivery of professional landscape, irrigation, and landscape management services.”
How Many People Are On Your Team?
Mike Says: “Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape maintains a crew of 6 full-time/year-round associates.”
What Sets You Apart From The Competition?
Mike Says: “20 Years of experience has certainly helped Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape to use smart and time-efficient techniques to get landscape projects done on time to meet closing deadlines or project deadlines at a competitive price. I am an owner-operator; meaning I not only run the business, but I’m also out in the field every day working alongside our team to deliver quality services. We have a small core crew that truly lives the company mission by providing the best quality landscape and management services. We pay our associates year-round, which is a little unique in our business, but allows us to maintain staff so that we are not constantly training and retraining our associates on how to manage landscape projects from start to finish.”
Walk Us Through A Day In Your Life
Mike Says: “A daily routine for our team consists of many tasks before we head out for the day.” Here’s a glance at a day’s work for the hardworking crew at Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape:
- Checking all equipment for safety standards.
- Maintaining proper maintenance for all equipment to be sure it’s operational and ready to go for the day.
- Loading landscape materials and supplies for the day.
- Meeting to outline the project timelines and delegate crews out to specific job sites.
- Working throughout the day, meeting with builder project managers, working with staff to keep projects and property maintenance on track.
- Finishing up the day includes meeting back at the shop to meet with the team, go over the day’s highlights, and review tasks that need to be addressed for the next day.
- Unload equipment, fix or provide maintenance for any equipment that needs repair.
- As the owner-operator, heading into the office to work on billing, scheduling, follow-up, phone calls, etc…
Phew! Sounds like a busy schedule, right? Now that we’ve worked with Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape for several years, we can confirm that their process and attention to detail are top-notch! In case someone hasn’t told you recently, you’re doing a great job!
Who Are Your Clients?
Mike Says: There’s always the exception to the rule, but these days “we work mostly with home builders and commercial clients.”
Are You Looking To Take On More Work?
At this time, Christopher’s Lawn & Landscape is staying very busy with their existing clients.
Mike Says: “We are not looking to take on more work at the time due to staffing issues in the labor force. We have a really cohesive team and can get a lot done with the few staff members we have.”
