About the Community
If you’re looking to find an area to raise your family in, it’s tough to go wrong with Homestead. This community is part of the Liberty School District, which consistently has been recognized for academic excellence and is viewed as one of the fastest growing districts in Missouri. As stated on the Homestead website, they have been “recognized as a high performing school district for all 12 years the State of Missouri presented the Distinction in Performance Award, making it only 6% of Missouri districts to be placed in this category.”
In terms of specific schools, you’ll be looking at: Alexander Doniphan Elementary, Liberty Middle School and Liberty High School. Again, all quality options and perfect for getting your kiddos from first grade through their senior year!
Higher education opportunities? Liberty is home to William Jewell College, which is a small private liberal arts college. With more of a small-campus feel, William Jewell’s enrollment in Spring of 2019 was listed at 787. At Homestead, you’re roughly 3 miles away from the campus.

The historic downtown Liberty square is located only a couple of miles away! If you’ve never been by this part of town, you’ll notice plenty of boutique shopping and one-of-a-kind dining opportunities. Even if you live somewhere else in the Northland, we strongly recommend checking out the Liberty Square!
Homestead homeowners are also just south of the Liberty Community Center. If your New Year’s Resolution included working out more, we think you’ll be impressed by this facility. From an indoor and outdoor pool, basketball courts and quality exercise equipment, it truly is a favorite amongst local residents.
