1). Get Rolling Clothing Racks
Running out of closet space? We know how it goes when you’re holding onto that old sweater you think you might wear again one day. Invest in a rolling clothing rack that can be moved wherever it fits. This won’t take up too much room, and it will keep your closet from becoming too jam-packed!
2). Add Hanging Shoe Racks
Another storage necessity is a hanging shoe rack. These can easily be hung behind bedroom or closet doors. Don’t clutter the floor with shoes, grab a hanging rack to organize all of your favorite sneakers!
3). Add Hanging Belt Racks
As a similar idea to the shoes, hang belts, purses, and hats on a rack so they’re not buried in the back of the closet. You don’t want to sort through a tangled mess on the way out the door! Plus, you’ll be able to see all your accessories so you’ll be more likely to wear them.
4). Add Double Bars In Your Closet
For more closet space, consider adding another bar in your closet! You can hang shirts on the top and pants on the bottom to increase the space. This will make everything easy to find and add so much more room.
5). Add Storage Under The Bed
Don’t let the space under your bed go to waste! This is a great place to store extra belongings for easy retrieval. You can even put your bed on risers to maximize the space, or invest in a bed with built-in drawers.
6). Get Bins & Boxes
Bins and boxes are great to have on hand and are easy to store anything in. Keep things organized by labeling these, and consider buying clear boxing so you know exactly what is inside.
7). Get Storage Ottomans
An ottoman is a wonderful place to store blankets in the living room! When you’ve located your favorite fuzzy blanket, you can close the ottoman and kick your feet up.
8). Install Floating Shelves
Floating shelves can provide an ultramodern solution to your space problem. You can place books, plants, pictures, or any other things you might like on these shelves without the worry of taking up any floor space.
9). Install A TV Cabinet
TV cabinets with storage are a practical use of space. Invest in a quality piece of furniture that can store other household necessities.
10). Get Drawer Organizers
Drawers can easily get messy! Get some drawer organizers to help arrange your kitchen utensils, office supplies, and clothing.
11). Hang Pots & Pans
Pots and pans can take up a lot of cabinet space! Avoid this by getting an overhead rack to hang above your kitchen island.
12). Hang Your Mugs
Another thing to hang in the kitchen is mugs! These take up a lot of space next to your glassware in your cabinets. Hang your cute mugs in the kitchen and save space while creating a fun aesthetic!
13). Make Your Pantry Move Functional
If you don’t have a walk-in pantry, it can be hard to see all the supplies you have on hand. Add sliding or rotating shelving! This will make your pantry much more functional, and help prevent food from going to waste since you’ll be able to have a good visual of everything you have in stock.
14). Add A Storage Bench
A storage bench in your mudroom is great for hats, gloves, and any accessories you may need in the winter or the summer. You can store umbrellas for a rainy day, or anything that might make sense for when you’re rushing out the door.
15). Add A Coat Rack
Add a coat rack in the corner of the mudroom to hang your jackets when you enter the house. It won’t take up too much room, and your coats will be easily accessible on the way out.
16). Hang Gardening Tools
Rakes and shovels can be hung in the garage on the wall, so you don’t have to worry about tripping over them or taking up too much space. They can easily be grabbed and ready for use!
17). Set Up A Garage Work Station
For more yard work help, add work stations, wall storage, shelves, and lockers for a more organized look. You can store gloves, shoes, tools, and whatever else you may need in this area.
