Warranty Specialist
Hearthside Homes is a new Home Builder seeking a Warranty Specialist to join our team. After a homeowner moves into their new home, Hearthside provides set times to handle any warrantable items that might occur in the home, as well as the occasional emergency problem, in accordance with the provided Warranty for the home. The Warranty Specialist is integral in facilitating, tracking, and documenting these warranty requests in a timely, positive manner.
General Purpose: Facilitate all aspects of processing, documenting, and administering warranty requests through Hearthside Homes’ online system and in-person warranty appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to homeowner contacts via phone, email, and online warranty system
- Process in-bound warranty requests, and follow through to their completion
- Schedule warranty appointments for Hearthside personnel and subcontractors
- Oversee a portion of the warranty appointments (in-person)
- Prepare and distribute reports summarizing warranty items
- Learn, facilitate, and stay current with evolutions in on-line Warranty program
- Organize and update Warranty section of Homeowner Manual
- Communicate Warranty procedures internally within other areas of our organization
- Additional clerical/office work as needed
Qualifications:
- Enjoys interacting with people: customers, in-house staff, trades people
- Highly organized
- Professional communication skills: in-person, phone, email
- High Computer literacy
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Innovative and willing to implement new processes
- Ability to stay positive and professional in difficult conversations
- Experience in residential construction industry a plus
- Experience in warranty/service department a plus
Status: Full-Time Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) occasionally on-call after hours for Emergency situations only
Work Environment: Approximately 75% office, 25% Site Appointments
Compensation: Based on experience
